    Description

RARE Belgian Original Release Movie Poster On Linen -
    Sally (1929),
Marilyn Miller, Alexander Gray, Joe E. Brown, Pert Kelton, Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, Musical, Technicolor, Vitaphone
Next up is this striking and colorful original Belgian movie poster from the first release of John Francis Dillon's 1929 musical comedy,
    Sally
. This film was based on the Broadway stage hit  produced by Florenz Ziegfeld from 1920 to 1922. It starred Marilyn Miller who played the lead in the Broadway production and was reportedly paid the sum of 0K for her services. It is notable as being only the fourth all talking, all-color feature movie ever made and was photographed in the Technicolor two strip process. This poster is from the 1st release of the film in Belgium in 1929. It's in remarkable shape for a 92 year old movie poster. It doesn't come up for sale or auction very often and would make a great addition to anyone's classic early talkies movie poster collection.
