It takes 80-90 gear oil.
A plug on the top and a small little pipe plug on the bottom right side.
The top hole is where you put the oil in, you take out the pipe plug and as you pour the oil in and when it starts running out of the pipe plug hole then it is full.
You only fill the box roughly half way, if you overfill the breather plug will release some of the pressure but you also run the risk of blowing out one of your oil seals so try to maintain adequate oil levels.
Of course you do this with the box mounted on the cutter and in an upright position.
Prior to each use always check the oil lever--an empty gearbox will fail
