Antique Leather & Composition Jointed Doll Body Replacement Part 16”. This antique doll body has lost her head. The body is leather with composition ball pointed arms. The hips and knees are hinged with metal buttons, that show rusting. The composition arms and hands have paint loss and crazing. The length of the body is 16”. So I’m going to assume the doll head with shoulder plate should be 4-5” to make a doll 20–21”. I’m not a doll person so this is a guess. The shoulder measures 4” from seam to seam. The leather is split with finished edges to allow the shoulder plate to slip under the leather. There is a 1/2” tear in the center of the neck. The body needs cleaning. The stuffing is very firm in the body. She has on a thin voile pair of pantaloons, knit stockings and ankle tie shoes. The shoes are falling apart. I did not want to remove these garments, as they possibly may be originals. If you are looking for a original body for a German bisque doll head, these are difficult to find. This body came from my MILs closed doll shop. It has been in storage for over 15 years. I will ship this body Priority Mail.
